Formid was established since 1999 and registered as an official organization on 29 March 2004.
Formid is a place providing communication and interaction for Indonesians who live in (and around) Dresden which achieved through meeting and organizing education, cultural, and sport events. The purpose of those events is giving educational information and building a bond as family in Indonesian ambience.
For non-Indonesian people, FORMID e.v. is a place to get information about Indonesia and also to give a glimpse of Indonesian people with their diversity of ethnic, culture, religion, and social-politic. All of those local cultures and histories are promoted through participation in International culture festival or cooperation with government or other organizations.
